Any reccomendations for a Last Crusade style hat under $250?

Post by giantthugee86 »

I'd like to get a pre-bashed fedora in the Last Crusade/Skull style. My price limit is about $225.

You could order a Garrison Raiders hat in rabbit at $200,.00 and ask him not to turn or crease the hat, or you could order from Northwest hats in rabbit for $175.00. :TOH:

I'm not sure Dave Garrison is taking any new orders right now, though. :-k

What size do you wear? I have a Penman that is just sitting collecting dust.

I decided to go with a S&J LC hat. Eagerly anticipating it!

It fits OK, cause I'm Harry Steele in Steele and Jones... :TOH: ...so I made it for me... ... but just wanted to show you the new liner we had just made for our new LC fedoras, which your's will be the first being delivered to a customer...(you didn't knew this when you chose us).
Don't worry about the fitting, we'll ask you all the info we need to have it custom made for you, according to the proportions you need...
I don't wanna make any more advertisement here, just wanted to make you drool... =P~ ...but it was funny to answer you the "chose wisely" line...

If anyone else is looking, a very good option is the Harrison from AdVintage fedoras. AdVintage is based out of Germany but has very reasonable prices and high quality products. The Harrison is a factory made hat but is very similar to the Henry that is produced by Adventurebilt. It is an 80/20 rabbit/beaver blend. I have the Harrison in the LC style, and it is beautiful! Thomas with AdVintage was very helpful, prompt in responding to questions, and produces some fantastic hats!

Totally agree. Advintage doesn't get that much atention as it should, according to the great hats they do, and they also have many options for different budgets. Besides, Tom is a real gentleman to deal with, and he will really treat you great and customize the hat to make it fit you perfect.

I would second this recommendation. S&J do an excellent job. I ordered one of their Raiders-style fedoras, and will order again.
