HFC 131 Close enough won't fit in Todd's Holster

I got a HFC UG-131 from Speedytoys and it looks great as a close-enough. It measures 9.5 inches. When I put it in my Todd's holster the button flap won't reach the button.
Did I get the wrong gun? Should I have gotten the HG-131? I think both guns are the same size - the HG might be .5 inch shorter.

I was thinking of getting the button flap altered at a leather shop to be longer.

Could be that orange tip sticking out that is giving that extra length and not letting the flap close.

What does the UG designation mean? I have an HFC 131 and it fits perfectly even with the orange tip.

That Todd's holster looks like a different pattern than mine. It looks smaller and more red?

Two different guns.

HFC HG-131 is a model of a 38 revolver.

HFC UG-131 is a model of a 357 revolver.

Thanks...that may be why it doesn't fit. But according to this picture...the HG-131 is 9.5 inches long. My UG-131 is a little under 10 inches long.
Which wouldn't account for it being so big for the Todd's holster. Could the new Todd's Raiders holster be made small now?

Also I can't find the HFC HG-131 anywhere on the Internet. Seems sold out everywhere. Anyone know where I can get one?

Unfortunately the HG model has been out of production for a few years. The secondary market is the only way to find them.

It's possible the Todd's holster is smaller than previous runs. I have one, what dimensions are yours and I can compare.

I think the real issue though is with the gun itself, particularly the grip. The UG is an overall larger frame and grip so even if the total length isn't that different, the UG is just bigger overall.

It's about 12 inches across - from the edge of the flap to the lower tip.

Not sure exactly which way you are measuring, but here's mine.



I've had this holster for a few years and I bought it second hand so there no telling how old it actually is.

Mine's the same length..maybe slightly longer.
