A truly 'different, yet' variation -- custom made Indy!

Post by WConly »

If this has been posted somewhere on this site before, but with quick search I didn't find it. Stumbled onto this (literally, as I was not even looking for custom hats, fedora's or otherwise :roll: ): http://bernardhats.com/custom-hats/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As stated....'truly different!' W>

Theyre nice but I look at the cowboy hat prices and cringe. My cowboy hats get beaten up pretty bad. Doubt I could stomach a $300 cowboy hat going through what I'll put it through. Sweat, the elements, extended camping etc. Maybe Im just a cheapskate!

Most people would say the exact thing about our fedoras. ;)

Some nice looking hats on that site. Of course, the Indy offering... :-0

You know the funny thing about this is -- considering the times when I have had (especially children) look at my Penman's (as an example) and say: "Hey, a cowboy....with this one, they would probably say: "Hey it's Indiana Jones! :shock: !" Then again...maybe not :lol: ! W>

The sad part is it's not a bad looking hat in it's own right. It's just woefully mislabeled.

Except if you read the write up it's clear that it's intentional.

"Our Adventure Hat has a 3 1/2 inch brim, wider then Indies’ standard 2 3/4″ wide fedora style – for better sun protection, and would be more of the look favoured by the Hosts/Archeologists of all those outdoor/adventure shows on TV."

So . . . wrong crown, wrong crease, wrong brim, wrong color and wrong ribbon . . . but other than that it's fairly close . . . :lol:

Exactly. If they just called it an adventurer hat, even limited to a passing reference to archaeology, it would be fine.
