I finally have an MKvii!!!!

Post by Canyon »

Well at long last I have acquired an MKvii bag!

The two guys who have provided me with this expressed that they would like to remain anonymous. Even so, I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to both of them. One provided me with the bag and the other with a beautiful brown leather strap for it.

Well, as everyone seems to like pictures, here's one for you! :P

Very nice! The MK-VII is such a cool bag. I especially like the strap you have there, the deep, rich brown color is really great. Mind if I ask what make that is?

Canyon,

That bag is mint and the strap looks awesome.

As we all play the guessing game as to who gave these to you, somehow I think I may have seen that craftmanship before, :-k but I could be wrong.

That is a really nice set and a great addition to your collection.

Man, I gotta get me one of those bags, yours looks so good! I'm trying to save up my pennies for one (as well as a bunch of other gear)...

Anybody have any feedback on the bags offered by www.toddscostumes.com?

Hey Bink,

It's a WPG bag, just sold by Todd's. They must have a deal worked out.

Oooooohhh.... I knew that.

Do you know off hand if the price is the same from both places? I remember trying to find a price on the WPG site and couldn't find anything which told me how much they wanted for it.

Congrats Canyon. We do have some extraordinarily generous individuals in COW. To the two individuals who gave the bag and strap to Canyon, I tip my fedora to you. That spirit of generousity is what keeps this place head and shoulders above the rest. Best Regards.

Yesterday, me, my husband and two friends went on a 20 mile walk and I took the MKvii out with me.

I love this particular bag because not only does it look cool, it also has compartments as well, which really came in handy for storing torches for later and drinks. At one point it got a little bit heavy, so my husband carried it around for me for a little while. Isn't he a sweetie! :P

It looked good on him as well. At one point I glanced over at him and did a check. One MKvii, stubble (as he hadn't shaved for a few days) and that was where the similarity ended. Now, if I could just get him to dress in the rest of the gear, he would make a perfect Indy! :D

Ah well, a girl can dream...

Well done to the gearheads that did this. Great bag Canyon! The buckle looks like the LC Buckle offered by Lee Keppler (I have one of those myself) with the bend in it and all. Very nice! :)

Canyon,
That back rocks!

I love these MkVIIs- my collection is slowly growing- my girlfriend uses one as well, even though she's not into Indy really. She thinks it's a pretty cool urban-chic type of thing to have. We look like twins with our bags on in the street- they are pretty funky... I'm sure you'll get compliments if you wear it from day to day.
