Major impulse buy (pics fixed)

Post by Trevelyan »

All right, since this board's been dead lately, I'll try to spice things up a bit. A few weeks ago, I ignored the rational part of my mind that said I needed to save money, do more research, etc. Heck, I even had an offer to try out some whips from Mr. Nolan (thanks so much for the offer Paul, I actually don't live that far away, but by the time your offer was on the table, I had already pulled out my credit card. I still hope to make it out to your store sometime in the future though). So, anyway, I made the plunge and got an 8 foot brandy colored bull whip from Si Davey. It came today, and I couldn't be happier. Here's the pics, taken in terrible lighting. I can't wait to start cracking. :D

Thanks for sharing Travelyan, great looking cracker. Those 10 and 12 footers are great on the belt INDIANAMIKEY but I like the quick snap of a 8 or a 6 when I get to cracking.

Thanks for the compliments guys, the plaiting really is smooth. That's one of the reasons I decided to go ahead and buy this one. It's also really light weight, a lot easier to crack than I would have imagined, and that was just a few tries in a room about as long as the whip. I think I'm going to go try it outside before I leave for work. :whip:

I never did get to see pictures of this whip. Even after pasting the address in from the properties. So, can someone make that happen?

Since Michaelson can't see it either, it now falls under the catergory, "Inquiring mindS want to know! I may have taken too much credit for having a mind capable of inquiring!

hi everyone. I'm moving to FL this weekend so I've been pretty busy and haven't been on COW much lately. The pictures of the whip were on angelfire, which I was banned from for hosting pics. I'll try to get some new pics of my whip up early next week. The whip won't be nice and "purty" like it was when I first got it, but you'll get an idea of the quality. Sorry for all the trouble. See ya next week from a new state.
