My Girlfriend Cracking a Whip
Here's a slow motion video of my girlfriend (and fellow admin of Pinoy Whip Enthusiasts on Facebook) cracking a 7-foot nylon bullwhip I made.

All I can say is, treat her well. She'll kick your ever loving backside if you don't, and it sure looks like she has all the skills and attitude to do so!
AMAZING video!
I'm so impressed, I shared it on my FB page. Mesmerizing!
HIGH regards!! Michaelson

Wow.
I like her style. Not only is she bad*** with that whip, but she's holding a smoke while she's at it.
With all due respect, my kinda gal.

Awesome video, but I agree with Jeff that the slow-mo makes it difficult to appreciate the fluidity of her style.

Re: My Girlfriend Cracking a Whip
I converted it in slow motion because the cracks sound better. Yeah, my GF did say it kinda made the video jumpy when I slowed it down.
As for being bada**, yes, she is! She competes in rodeo events here in the Philippines; lassoing cows and taking them down, bull riding, etc...
We met because of our interest in whips - since they use whips to herd cattle, that's how she got into whip cracking.

Wait, Michaelson has an FB page??! I never pegged you for the type to have one. Hehe.

If my daughters hadn't insisted, I wouldn't have one, but what ever.

My mom was the same when we convinced her to join Facebook. Now she's hooked on all the games! Hahaha!Michaelson wrote:If my daughters hadn't insisted, I wouldn't have one, but what ever.

Yeah they look heavy, like big ropes you'd see on an old ship. And I thought my 10' Jacka wears me out. She's gotta have some strong arms.
Re: My Girlfriend Cracking a Whip
Before I introduced paracord whips over here in the Philippines, these were the types of whips they used:
Abaca rope whips... dunno how they are made. But I guess it's by gradually removing strands.
Another Abaca rope whip, plaited version.
Nylon rope whips (spliced construction... they taper by removing strands)
Nylon rope whips (plaited version).
It was only until I created out group, Pinoy Whip Enthusiasts, that people here started to use paracord.

Re: My Girlfriend Cracking a Whip
Very cool vid...helps that your gf is easy on the eyes too. How large is your whip enthusiast group now? How many of them have gone to paracord?

Re: My Girlfriend Cracking a Whip
There are now more than 300+ members scattered from all over the Philippines plus 10 or so foreign members.
As for how many switched to paracord, I don't know. But I think only a handful have switched, but most have expressed interest. But we only have one paracord whip maker here in the Philippines. Well, one who makes and sells anyway. There are a few like me who have made paracord whips, but don't make 'em professionally.
