Well... Life has been stressful and tiring for me these days. Being a dispatcher and working 11 hour shifts 6 days a week, not having a good nights rest in 3 weeks has taken its toll. I am in somewhat in a dark side kind of mood this days. So, I went to the hardware store, bought myself some 100 grit sandpaper, I was tempted to get 60 grit, and I rubbed my FS chrome goat down with it! Boy does this jacket look great! Really beat up. Cannonball guys, cannonball. I figured life is short. Just go for it. I guess I'm the most insane now because when I told Dan what I did, he cringed. If I destroy this jacket then I'll just buy another one. Life is short guys, live it to the fullest. "Get busy living or get busy dying." Have a good one!

Best Regards,
Jun

I did the sandpaper thing to my FS goat too. I agree -- "You can always buy another jacket. " Reminds me of a T-shirt I saw on a college campus: "You can always re-take a class, but you can never re-live a party."

My nefew asked me about how Indy's jacket could survive being worn while Indy was being dragged by the truck.

I told him, "Trust me... some of my Gearhead friends have done worse."

"How much worse?"

"Much worse...."

Jun, give us a clue how much worse you've done!

Well, I do not have the equipment to post pics but I can tell you what I did. First I did the back of the jacket first because its the easiest. Scratches everywhere. These are NOT scuff marks, I actually got into the leather. The way I did it was I wore the jacket and actually rubbed the sandpaper over it as if you were washing yourself with a washcloth. Collar, sleeves, and pockets. Basically everything but the gussets. I got to post some pics. Runquist here I come!

Yo MK!

Have you sandpapered your jacket yet? If so, how? I am proud on how my jacket looks now.
