Considering other companies sell comparable American bison leather jackets from $995 to $1200, and these are U.S. made by Schott, it's not a bad price at all.

M has a great point...the Orvis Bison jacket is 1K...it's not an easy leather to get.

Easier than the Roo hide...which is breaking in nicely, by the way, but the bison is a nice balance of cowhide characteristics and the toughness of denser leather. Very grainy. Pretty cool stuff!
