Leather sweatband care

Hello. I am wondering what I would use for conditioning the leather sweatband on my fedora. I have heard people recommend Pecards but there are so many products on their site and I don't know which one to use. I know I don't want to use anything that waterproofs as that would defeat the purpose of having a sweatband. And lastly do I apply the leather conditioner to just the front or back or to both sides?
