They all look very different - especially the collars

I'm really digging the Cairo collar. Definitely matches what I see on screen more so than the larger Hero collar. So tempted...

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Just received orb's Bill Kelso Relic Hunter I picked up in the Cairo Bazaar. I couldn't be happier with it. It is perfect, and it fits like it was made for me. The Kelso gets everything right. I'm amazed. I'll post pics when I get a chance.
Oh, and those of you who picked up Tibor's Kelso jackets, you got a screaming good deal. Someone grab that last one while it's still available!

It's a fantastic deal! I got the Hawaii jacket and I'll post some pictures when I get it. Thanks Tibor!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Absolutely.
Glad to find them good homes. The last Kelso remaining was a little experiment I tried and it turned out great. The back pleats were made slightly deeper, but you'd need a ruler to notice, really. They lie nicely flat under the back panel but allow the slightly puffy effect in the side panel that we see in the South American temple. Very nice. The gents at Kelso do amazing work and the leather smell is intoxicating. There is no jacket that drapes better ...
I still have my three favorites... I think one was the Cairo among those pictured above.

Great jacket photos. That one with Karen Allen... I just wish she was holding the Staff of Ra Headpiece! And speaking of jackets, check out the one she's wearing. Yikes!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Ya, I was debating on whether or not to bring my head piece, but went with the idol instead. Looking back, I realize I could've brought both. Yeah, I'm just picturing her holding the headpiece with her arm outstretched, "I'm your god #### partner!"knibs7 wrote:Ya, I was debating on whether or not to bring my head piece, but went with the idol instead. But then that flying wing scene busted lip would be out of place anyways!
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
True, but I had to incorporate the Flying Wing scene... I have a few pieces of the plane and had her sign one of them.Hollowpond wrote:But then that flying wing scene busted lip would be out of place anyways!

Give this man a jacket! Seriously, I think that sort of contest is quite a good idea.afalzon wrote: If there was a contest, best picture wins free jacket, this photo would have won it.
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Here are a few pictures of the Bill Kelso Hawaii jacket that I purchased from Tibor and received last weekend. Love the leather! I had a Relic Hunter a year ago in the grainy lamb (which I actually sold to Tibor) but this is completely different. Thanks again Tibor for a great deal on a great jacket!

Superb! . thanks for the pics
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
At first I was unsure of the slight shine this jacket has, but I went back to the movie, especially the South American jungle the shine is there. I've warmed up to the color as well. This jacket has it all. It's differences from other makers are really positive. I'm now considering a size smaller for display only.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
real nice jacket
what's the price for those (i haven't been able to find out on the bill kelso site. Only grainy and striated lamb are listed) ?
Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Pleased to let you know that we just got delivery of a new batch of striated lambskins.
This time the color is better than ever, a bit darker than last time and the finish of the leathers is just amazing.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Love seeing these Kelso jackets. The lambtouch cowhide looks very nice.
Been wearing my Relic Hunter a lot lately. It is from the first batch of striated lamb. It has a very milk chocolate color that is just beautiful, but I wasn't crazy about the way the color looked on me, as I tend to wear a darker seal brown leather most of the time. I was hesitating about treating it with some Red Wing boot oil to darken it up and protect the leather a bit (it soaks up water like a sponge when it rains). Well the back of my neck made my decision for me, as oils from my hair and skin started giving me the old dark ring around the collar look. So I lightly applied the boot oil to a rag and rubbed down the jacket, and... it is perfect. The slightly darker color is a huge improvement and the leather feels a bit more substantial now. Mission accomplished: I now have my ideal Indy jacket! I keep puttin' off posting pictures. I'll have to get to it sooner or later.

Re: Bill Kelso's Relic Hunter
Sorry, no chance for pictures yet.
Wearing this jacket non-stop now that the weather is consistently cool. The Relic Hunter is the best Raiders jacket ever, bar none. No joke. I know it is expensive, but thinking of all the jackets I have purchased to try to match my idea of what I see on screen, it would have been cheaper just to have bought this and be done with it. To any of you who are obsessed with finding the Raiders jacket, this is it, no question. It is the perfect storm of pattern and leather.
