Wore the hat through rain and shine. Extremely heavy rain one day. Just got home and thought I'd show you guys how my 100% rabbit has held up through being soaked almost to the core.

It has held up very nice through the above normal abuses of being stuffed under seats on rides and into bags... I know the Akubra isn't suppose to be "crushable" but trust me this thing was crushed, soaked, smashed, and dropped. over the 10 days I wore it all but 2 of those days.

Looks like your Akubra can take a beating and ALOT of rain after all then! Not sure if I'm willing to take my Fed IV Deluxe through that much abuse, but maybe it can take it as well.

Absolutely I will need to check my camera to see if I have any pictures of it drenched but my tiny wife could attest it was torrential rain in Florida last week for a couple days. Lol.
I think the pinch tightened nicely and I even got that much sought after up curve flair to the back half of the brim... I love how it looks now.

I can't seem to get the curve flair in the back as good as I'd like. Hmmm, maybe I should've gotten mine soaked the last couple of days out here when it rained.CouldnaeDecide wrote: I think the pinch tightened nicely and I even got that much sought after up curve flair to the back half of the brim... All I did was after the day of being on my head just let it dry upside down. I can only assume because I was wearing it all day in the rain the top layer of the fur shrunk while the bottom did not resulting in a flair upwards. Either way it very uniform and a great looking hat now...Jacques wrote:

My wife likes me in it and I got some pictures I love taken outside the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular which this year was really great. I saw it 2 years ago and was let down. This time was much better. Great indy man... Had Harrison's mannerisms down to an art.
I'll try to get those pictures of the drenched hat and t not.... Does anyone know if i have a limit of number of pictures I can post without offending someone?
