In the city I live in, there is a Red Wings outlite that I intend to eventually go in and check out. I have read both here and on the main Indy Gear site, that Indy was originally going to wear a pair of Red Wings, and I am trying to find a close enough, since Indy was gonna wear a different boot from the start, I thought I would have a look at them. So Red Wings, do u guys have any suggestions on what boot to get concerning quality, price($200's) and look? And what kind of red wing boot would indy wear at the 30's era?

The Red Wing 9030 Beckman Heritage is closest to the Indy in looks and quality. They're quite a bit more than $200, though, if you can find them. Dunno if the Red Wing stores even stock them. Sherman shoes (online) looks like they have some stock.
I actually had a cigar pair and a black pair (9029) in my possession which I bought at a steal. Regretfully, I returned them. They were beautifully crafted boots with a leather sole with the 'commando' lugs.

Re: Red Wings Work boots
Truth is no one knows which Red Wings boots were being considered for HF's costume.
As Illinois James said, the 9030 Beckman Heritage is the closest in looks to the Alden boots. But, it is unlikely the Red Wings under consideration looked like the Aldens.
The benefit is Red Wings have been around since 1905 so Indy could have worn any of their boots in 'real life.' I would say the Heritage collection look most period accurate for boots Indy would have chosen in the 30's, but you are not locked into having to choose boots with moc toe stitching.

Indiana Jeff

I was thinking, since Indy did several missions in WWII with Mac, he must have worn something from the military(boots most likely). For example, if you look at the concept art, he is wearing a military belt and ammunition strap. Red Wings has some work boots similar to the army boots I am talking about.

I think you're talking about the Iron Rangers. They're my "Indy Boot"

I LOVE the look of the Iron Rangers. Haven't bought mine yet (good boots are expensive), but one day!
I like the Iron Rangers, as they look a lot like WWII Paratrooper boots and Garrison shoes.

Right in line with my "historical" Indy. They are GREAT!
Re: Red Wings Work boots
The Red Wing 1905 or 1907 are the signature Red Wings that were the first offerings by the company. While wedge soled, I would think these would still ge a mainstay popular bestseller back in the 30s yet.

Those Iron Rangers are a nice looking boot. I might have to look at getting a pair of those.
