$1.98 WG Presentation Case

Post by Luke Warmwater »

Inspired by this picture I found online, I built this presentation case for my WG:

from a cast-off cigar box from the local tobacconist's and some scrap wood from my toolshed. I still need to paint it, line it with felt and perhaps add a transparent lid.

Ooooooh....aaaaaaaaaah.... =P~

Be cautious of long or extended-term firearm storage on felt (and/or open cell foam). Those materials retain moisture even more than wood does.

With or without felt, you already know that a regular wipe-down with a gun oil/CLP rag or silicone cloth is key. I also suggest stowing some silica gel dessicant somewhere in the box:

Reusable: http://www.theruststore.com/40-Gram-Rec ... 46C95.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Disposable: http://www.theruststore.com/Silica-Gel-Packets-C97.aspx" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Nice WG as well! If ya don't mind me asking, where'd ya find her? :-k

Nice, Luke! Sounds like a steal considering their rarity.

"Hi, everyone...my name's Cajunkraut...and I have a Gunbroker addiction..." :oops:

Well done, especially for DIY with what you already had on hand.

Love the idea of the WG in a cigar box.

Makes me think of a noir film, "Yes, of course, I'll hand over the documents. But we can be civilized about the matter. Here, let me get you a cigar...."

BAM! BAM!
