Pants / Close Enough's CHEAP /Update Pocket Flaps added

Post by car96 »

Walmart has these on clearance, at least my local one did.

No back pocket flap but I intend to get my extra length tailored, saved and converted into back pocket flaps.

They also have some plain front (not pleated).

Shown here with Todd's pants on the right...color is close enough for $13 & comfortable.

I'm glad you snagged a pair of those. What do you make of them? Get you a 2" flap going on and you'll be stylin'. Plugged 'em for years and used them on digs.

I'm not an expert on all Indy style pants and only recently came across a used pair of Todd's; a pair of the LL Bean's were nice but color was way off and fit was not good, but these are comfortable, close in color and cheap. They are regular around $20 ( these were a clearance at $13- it looked like a newer color and style was out for sale and I was disappointed) & I love you can get pleated or flat front.

I'm not sure my local Vietnam tailor is going to understand the military hem or the pocket flaps.

I have it for sale in the bazaar, all the details are there. Basically it doesn't fit, wish it did because I wouldn't try to sell if so.

Here is my Wrangler pants after they have been altered. Probably went too short on the length, but it will do & added the pocket flaps from the extra length that was taken off.

Just to show the pocket flaps ( ;) )

Those look REAL good with the pocket flaps! Did you do them yourself, or have a tailor make them?

I need to make some pocket flaps for my close enoughs. I actually bought a whole other pair of paints to make the flaps from!

I had a tailor make them with the extra material that was taken off from the length of the pants. I gave her my Todd's pants so she could use them as a template.

Those are looking more like Indy pants every time I see them! Good job to the tailor.
