The Christy's are nice looking hats. Problem with them is they don't tend to hold up to everyday use.

Especially with bad weather!...
Others pics from my Christy's...I reduced crown height, and sewed the front of the bow ribbon

Hey guys, I'm looking for a vendor that's selling this hat in the Last Crusade bash.

They sell it at advintage, but appear to be out of stock at the moment.

http://www.advintagefedora.de/shop/prod ... sable.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Any other leads? I'm not too keen on getting an unbashed hat.

Received a Christy's via AdVintage fedora today.

I LOVE IT. It fits me better than my Todd's Raiders fedora. I also think the felt is better quality, and the ribbon is more screen accurate (darker).

I'm not sure what it is about Todd's Raider fedora (maybe the dimensions are too big, or just too big for me) but I think I look WAY better in the Christy's Crusade bash. I might consider giving the Christy's a Raiders bash if I can figure out how.

These are both 59s, BTW. Christy's on the right.

Me sporting both. (again, I think the Crusade suits me better. I think Todd's Raiders fedora is too wide a brim for my face, just wondering what everyone else thinks)

Kinda hard to tell with the Todd's because of the angle. It looks fine to me, but like I said, it could be the angle. Same goes with the LC. Try a shot of you wearing it straight on.

I think they both look fine. Personally, I would turn the brim down more on the Raiders hat because the way it looks now is like the "cowboy" LC.

Actually, your build is very reminiscent of Ford in Raiders, and I think the Todd's Raiders looks great on you. I really like the way he shaped it. The overall shape of the crown and brim is very Raiders, and for the price you paid for each one, not too bad.

Turn down the brim? What do you mean exactly? The front, back or sides? And how?

For the price, these are very good hats. Keep in mind, these are dress hats and not camping or adventure hats to abuse. If worn as such, they will be good hats. ;)

If looking for tough outdoor hats on a budget, the Akubra are excellent in that regard.

The Todd hat I bought went directly to charity.

It's been a little while since anyone's posted here but if anybody's paying attention, I just bought a NIB Adventurer for $50 and I'm curious how it measures up against a Poet from recent times or Coyle's Downtowner? I'm sure one of us has owned all three at one time or another. Let me know where you rate the Christy's. :TOH:
