Wested Raiders vs Last Crusade/Crystal Skull

Hello all,
I was wondering if someone could explain the differences (specifically in fit) between Wested Leathers Raiders jacket and their Last Crusade/Crystal Scull jacket? I looked on their website and couldn't find anything about the differences. I also searched here and came up empty handed.

Youll find LC/CS are more generous with their cuts where as the Raiders is more tailored to the body and shorter. Some other things but I cant get them into words as well as some so I'll let the experts chime in. Good luck!

Interesting, I emailed Wested and they sent me back a size chart for the, "Raiders and Crusade Jacket". According to them, the dimensions on both jackets are the same. Below is their email.

"Hello,
Measurement wise the stock Last Crusade and the Raiders are exactly the same. The main difference in style is the Last Crusade has two press studs, one at the bottom of the zipper and one at the top. Also the Last Crusade has a slightly larger collar than the Raiders, the Raiders collar is more rounded. In my opinion the Last Crusade fits the larger sizes best, and the Raiders is a great fit for everyone and of course it is from the original film so stays as the favourite jacket for now!

That sounds right. The differences described applies to the movie jackets, not the repos. I think the basic body patterns are very similar, it's the pockets, flaps, collar and shoulder seams that vary.

Once, I asked Peter about the differences between the Raiders and the LC jacket...different animals, I asked? Yes, he said. Completely different pattern. The great philosopher, David Lee Roth used to say, 'stick your head above a crowd, and there is always someone there to throw a rock at it.' But for clarity's sake, ask her how many Indy jackets she has owned?

There was a time when all three jackets were pretty much identical. I particularly recall the days when the Wested ToD jacket was just a Raiders with an extra inch in length. It even had the Raiders pockets. This was several years ago. I got back then an LC which was identical to my friend's Raiders but with a snaps.

The patterns should be quite different now, especially compared to the Hero jacket. The LC/CS jacket also has the collar stand ending before the storm flap, and I think the double stitching on the shoulders is now standard, but only accurate for CS.

Yes, the more recent Hero jacket is probably a different beast entirely, since it was based on a Nowak Raiders pattern.

The arm hole placement is set lower on the LC pattern (causing that 'bat wing' effect) .The raiders arms are positioned higher up .
