Wested Leather -- update

Post by WConly »

I have not found this posted anywhere on this board, as of yet, so I thought I would post it here. Didn't want to place it in the 'Vender' section, as I am not a vender, etc. (MOD's: if this has already been brought up -- please delete). I have had a few 'email' communications with Wested in the past few weeks with some questions and addressed each to Gemma, only to discover that she is no longer with Wested. The lady who responded is named; Rebecca. So, just call this post -- an update for future reference with communications with the folks at Wested. She (Rebecca) has been most helpful with answering my questions, and the like. So, I see this as a continuance of decent communication between 'them' and us, as it was with Gemma. W>

I should add, Rebecca knows what's going on....

I don't know how long she's been with Wested, but she looked up an old order for me(it was over 2 years old) based on my order number, and gave me details of the measurements I'd requested. I was checking how much a particular hide shrinks over time (thinner leathers often do). It guided me in ordering my most recent 'Hero'.

I have a really dumb question. How do you call from your home phone to overseas, to Wested? How much does that phone call cost?

Would it be better to call from my cell phone?

With 'land-line' communications, ask to place an overseas call. With cell phones -- depends on your provider. Quite often you might need to purchase a pre-paid overseas card to make the call. W>

Yeah...that's where I was at too, until I received the email back from Rebecca. Kind of gave me a shock. Hopefully for Gemma it's all a relief. New hubby, new life and no crazed 'Indy' fans :rolling: ! W>

Yes, we certainly tested Gemma's patience through the years, I'm sure!

I wonder if the Elvis impersonators are quite as demanding??!!
