Ahhh c mon I am sure there are some out there. Now there is no obligation. I am just wanting to see you guys indy hats (young indy of course). Now I don't have any young indy hats except a dorfman Pacific that I reshaped to the young indy shape (to be exact, treasure of the peacocks eye indy fedora).

I'll try and get brian to take better shots because the iphone in this lighting isn't very good but at least it might get this thread started..
SPF was a real nice guy and has a couple of the hats still. Was great spending time with him.

Nice hat. Thanks for the pics
Re: post the young indiana jones fedoras!!!
Wow! I have always thought that the IYJ Hat was interesting, but that is all and now I see yours and say: Man, I wouldn't mind wearing this! Beautiful hat! Once again, you proved the point, as in the 'Felt/Ribbon Thread:' You make the hat the way it was supposed to look (and, better )! W>BendingOak wrote:I hope this gets this thread going.

thank you.
Funny thing about that photo. Taken here in Portland but a Customer of mine back east printed that pic off of facebook and asked SPF to sign it and was sent to me framed like that. I have some of the nicest people as customers.

That was given to me from my son when we were in Disneyland. He's 14 years old now but was around 6-7 if memory serves me well. He asked his mom if he could buy that for me nd surprised me when we all met up in our room. Great kid that little oak. I had to hang him up because I used to use Indy Lego key chain and he started to fall apart.

Speaking of which I thought Indy lost his EEEYE not his leg rofl! You know, if he likes Indiana Jones, for his next birthday you should make him a young indy hat.

He has a Indy hat I made him several years ago. The hat he wanted recently was Ricks hat from the walking dead that he hands down to his son Carl.
Here's little oak with is full gear on, it's been a few years.

I didn't even know he was a member here! Awesome! Man if I was his age wearing the accurate whip hat satchel I would just be shock stricken. The Walking dead looks like an awesome show. Only seen glimpses of it. Speaking which is it just me or does the Sheriff die? Ok enough Lolly gagging from,e. On with the show!

He's no longer that little oak anymore. He's 14 now.
I still can't believe there aren't any YIJ fedoras out there. I now there is at least one member with one that I really like. Don't remember the label but looked good on him.

It's an open crown miller: http://www.millerhatstore.com/store/ind ... uct_id=310" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
(woah! i can see the prizes on the hats have gone way up since i got mine)
It's a good choice for a YIJ hat. It's just the color of the ribbon that is way off but it didnt bother me.
I had that hat with me everywhere. It's just a shame that it wont stand the test of time (heavy wear and bad weather) but then again so didnt the hats that were worn in the show. It almost started to look like the hat shown in the last episodes (see "treasure of the peacocks eye" or "Hollywood Follies" for example.)
Thank you Indy506Indy506 wrote:

The locket was something i found at an antique store, without the chain. It was just laying around until my (back then)girlfriend suddenly showed up with a chain and wanted me to wear it. She even put a "lucky diamond" in the locket for...yeah, luck. Im not superstitious about stuff like that but it's a nice thought. Still wear it to this day.
My locket does not look like the one Indy has, just so you know

Re: post the young indiana jones fedoras!!!
I know that it's the result of the hat being poorly treated, but a part of me really likes the YIJC hat from "Treasure of the peacocks eye" and "Hollywood follies"
but I also love the one he wears in the first part of "Adventures in the Secret Service".... not the one in the second part, haha.
Would love to see more of these around.

Re: post the young indiana jones fedoras!!!
The hat i wear today, the Federation 4D, is also pretty much inspired by the YIJ fedora. Inspired by the one used in the episode "London 1916", wich is my all time favourite hat. I've had it with me for many years now and is my travelcompanion #1.
I did recently try a little tighter bash on it but after a while i found out it wasn't me so i shaped it back to the way it was.

Thanks guys. I'm surprised myself that it has held up this well through the years but it just shows that as long as the hat takes care of you and you take care of it, together you'll be dynamite
Hope you'll show off some pictures of it OakBendingOak wrote:Next hat up in the Adventurebilt Legacy collection will be the Young Indiana Jones hat.

Specs will be spot on of course. This is the one Indy hat that is a non dimensional cut brim. Will have the wider ribbon and the same ribbon you see on screen.
