Alden questions.

Howdy all.

I've got a few questions that I hope fellow alden owners can help out with.

Firstly I've noticed that my pinkie toe has started to strech out the leather. Has anyone else notice this happening to their boots? Should I be worried about the boots eventually wearing thin in that area?

Also I've started to notice that my boots make a squish/whoosh sound when I walk down the stairs. I don't know what might be causing that. Could it be a quality issue that I should contact alden with?


Also to make this thread more interesting I just left venice and made sure to take a couple pics in the square where indy escapes the catacombs. I'll post the pics/video when I get home!

Hi, I've had my aldens for over 5 years from new and have not experienced the issues your having. I'm assuming your boots are new-if they're the correct size I don't think your toes should be rubbing in to the leather-perhaps a wider fitting is needed. The odd noises your boots are making are another thing I never had. Mine did "squeak" a bit before the leather was broken in but are fine now. Sorry I cant be of more help. Perhaps a more experienced member can offer you some advise. Aldens are a great boot so I hope you get your problems resolved.

Best recommendation would be to take these questions directly to Aldens and see if they can sort it out for you.
