Hey guys, just a quick question: does anyone know if the US made SL Legend is chrome-tanned or veg-tanned?
I actually have had this jacket for about 2 years now (hope to add some posts with pics soon), and despite some minor wear on the cuffs and storm flap, it has really maintained the stiff, out of the box character in some ways (doesn't bother me....it'll just last longer). I've always assumed it was chrome-tanned, but the wear that does show seems to be much "redder" than all my other chrome-tanned jackets.

Re: Quick US Wings SL Legend Question
Brown can be made by mixing: red, blue and yellow; so the reddish undertones could partly be due to the color of the dye mixed. Red and blue make purple undertones. Simi-A chromium usually yields a gray layer under the dye, as we've seen so much.
The only veg tanned skins that I know of are Wested's SL, crispe and BK. As for this skin, not sure.

Well, as I understand it veg tanned is far rarer and most leather jackets are chrome tanned.
