New limited edition Wested Suede LC jacket

This Christmas only Wested is offering a limited run of the LC jacket in suede for £115.

I didn't see it on their website, it's obviously a special order so if your interested you'll need to contact them.

I've been a diehard Wested fan since 1998, but the Indy jacket only looks good in a finished leather. Novapelle (for me) is the end all, be all of Indy jacket leather. A suede LC jacket is just wrong on so many levels.

I for one don't see a problem with it.

Guys don't seem to have a problem with Dino-Hide or even denim. I think it's actually pretty cool it's being offered in this hide.

Suede just doesn't look adventure-y and it would soak up water like a sponge in a rainstorm, so it's not very practical as a real-world jacket for daily wear. I'd file it in the 'taxi leather' category along with lambskin. Give me cowhide any day.

I'm not a suede coat man myself, and totally agree with you there.....but if anyone is looking for an 'urban adventure' dress jacket, this would be a good candidate.

What's kind of ironic is Josh Bernstein's jacket he wore through the entire 'Digging for the Truth' series (his own, personal jacket, no less) was made of brown suede, so I guess it IS good for real life adventurers field use, isn't it?

So he told me in email discussions back in 2006, and can be seen in segments of this program, which is 'Indy' appropriate.

You know....I can picture this style for some folks, just not for me. I am not a huge fan of suede, but I will admit these offerings are quite nice. I don't mind suede patches on wool jackets (elbow/shoulder, etc.) or on some sweaters, as I think it makes for a nice contrast and more rugged over-all look, but a complete suede jacket just isn't 'me'! But, again...I do think this is a clever and good marketing move on Peter's part, as their are people who really like this look! And, if they do -- power to them -- enjoy! It's a great look, if that is what you are after! W>

Very nice jacket. I saw it posted on Facebook yesterday and as I was looking at it, I was thinking that I cannot justify buying yet another Indy jacket. I like my Nowak CS although I find it a little too heavy. My custom Raiders and Crusade jackets made by Wested fit me really well and after several years wearing (and in the closet) acquired some character for sure! The suede edition looks nice and I am sure many Indy and non-Indy jackets fans will enjoy wearing it.

Suede is fine, I like the black but the brown is too light. The suede that Belstaff used on the Mission Impossible 3 jacket was perfect.
