Odd title, I know, but a customer of mine found a place called the thread exchange. I believe it's www.thethreadexchange.com who sells bonded nylon thread for making poppers. The size is 138, whereas the same size in military jargon is FF. Why bonded nylon? Cause it's cheap, lasts longer than bailing twine, and I like it, as do many others.
I'll try to make this more Indy-like. Think he made his own poppers? I'd suggest no, since there isn't one on the fall in LC just before he takes the leap of faith. Clearly noticeable on film.

Hmmm, 9000 feet... lets see, each pooper uses about 20"... divide that into 9000'... or 108,000 inches... lets see... about 5400 poppers!
(Right, you fold it over twice I think... if not, double that above number!)
I went to an upholstery repair shop and the guy there just spooled off like a 50 foot roll and gave it to me. It was basically nothing to him. And he had an assortment of colors.

I think I use about 9 feet per popper for the nylon, but still, that's a lot of poppers!
I sat down with a 2 lb spool once and made poppers with it until it was gone. I just about filled up a 1 gallon ziploc bag.

PS. I don't know how much shipping is.
PPS. No speculation on whether Indy made his own poppers? I guess not, since he was no MacGyver!!!!!!!
