Am I nuts?

Post by Dr.JonesClone »

Okay, here I go again. Am I becoming addicted? I stumbled upon a Wested Authentic Lamb jacket and now it's on its way. I paid $150.00 wich includes shipping. The jacket is touted as being in "Like new condition" and the ebay seller has 100% positive feedback. We'll see. With this jacket I will have two in lamb. My other is a Todd's. Anyhow, am I crazy? Please feel free to belittle me with strong criticism. I should have at least went for a different hide. ](*,) [-o<

Are you crazy? No. Not at all. =;

Personally I like having examples from different vendors to choose from, even in the same hide, so you're actually BEHIND the curve of most of us....who have a few more than '2'. :[

I can't help myself. I just love this stuff. Is there much difference in the weight of the Wested vs my Todd's? :-k

I've got 3 US Wings jackets, same style just different leathers or color. Plus a dozen or so other leather jackets in other styles. Don't worry about your sanity until you have to reinforce the hanger rod in your closet because it isn't strong enough.

It's a slippery slope. This time next year, you will probably have five Indy jackets in your closet.

Two Nowak Raiders - one in CS leather and one in shrunken lamb.

One Noway CS.

Three US Wings - one Antique Cowhide, one Striated Lamb, one in CS cowhide

Three Wested - two in lamb one in Novopelle

One Kelso in striated lamb

All before I discovered I really like the Levis Vintage jacket from Skyfall - and bought 3

Not mentioning two Avirex G-1, six or seven motorcycle jackets, a couple of A-2s and a few I've probably forgotten.

Somehow I don't think TWO counts as an addiction.

Just remember - - - don't inhale. ;)

Are you crazy  ? This is the best part! When I see a leather store -- even if I know that they don't, or probably won't have anything I'm looking for, needing, wanting, etc. -- I still must (I SAY MUST) get my fix and inhale that lovely aroma of leather \:D/ ! It's delightful! W>

Are you crazy? Really? You walked though the front doors and you knew what was on the other side when it comes to this place. Yes you are crazy but you have

As I check the site multiple times a day, hoping items in my size become available in the Bazaar and that more pictures of my recently bought (but not yet received) jacket get posted, I often wonder the same question myself. The answer is a resounding yes. You are nuts. But at least its a good kind of nuts, like walnuts. And not some crazy kind of nuts, like pine nuts. Useless flavorless little things, they are. And dont start with "but they're good in pesto." You can sub anything in pesto. And if you're only claim to fame is that you are integral in pesto, that's not a good enough reason.

Well...the good news is that none of our favorite manufacturers (Wested, Todd's, G&B, US Wings, etc.) haven't (as of yet) begun the production of leather strait jackets  , :rolling: ! Then again :-k ...I would get my leather 'whiff-fix,' if they did so :rolling: ! W>

It will be a while before THAT ever happens, old friend. We'd be arguing about the buckles so much they steer clear ever making one..... =; ;)

Then again, the 'one size fits all' pattern might be a draw.... :-k :Plymouth:

I'm not really a collector too, but I would love to have 4 or five Indy hats. I wear my AB every day and I love it :TOH:
