There have been no new posts here for over 2 months. Am I to assume no one has received their ABs yet, or have new pics to post? I'm waiting on my March '08 orders still, but will be sure to post pics here when (if) they arrive. Has anyone corresponded with Steve lately? I sent him an update request e-mail but have received no reply to date.

Kind regards,
Craig

There was an update a few weeks ago in the Vendor Announcements section.

http://indygear.com/cow/viewtopic.php?f ... 8&start=50" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Basically it had someone receiving their hat in mid August and advising everyone that Steve had been back in the hospital.
He mentioned it in an email. He spent a week in the hospital for those two surgeries, (bladder tumor, cancerous but low grade). But since the doctor didn't want to give him much blood, he went home anemic, badly, and had to take iron pills 3x a day to get his red cell count back up. This left him so weak and dizzy that after the stay in the hospital, he spent over a week in bed.

Awesome pic my friend!! That AB has faded into the Raiders color along with the ribbon and has maintained its shape after being wet, the bash kind of look more like the Raven bar bash ;)

Si. At least at last check. Go to Marc's site at Adventurebilt deluxe. You need to get them out of Germany.

They are - I bought a brand new one from Marc and Stefan at Adventurebilt Deluxe about 3 weeks ago. It's a great hat.

Some quick'n'dirty (i.e. not very good) shots of my new Henry. I'm proud to finally be in the Adventurebilt Club! (Even if it's not a fully custom handmade one.) It's a beautiful hat - I've decided that I'm not going to monkey around with the bash too much, as I don't want to end up spoiling it!

Yeah! For not being truly custom made, these are great hats! I picked one up here on the bazar from 'picker' and I love mine too. My bash loosened a bit during shipment and looks quite CS and I am leaving it that way! Great hat. Came with a great Penman box too! Very surprised at the quality of the hat. Nice add to my collection of Indy line-up. Now in the waiting period for my custom Penman LC! Oh boy! Been a good year for me with some great buys and can't wait for the new arrival in the months ahead! Enjoy yours and keep us updated on how she holds up for you. W>

Beautiful! Out of curiosity, and I seriously mean this in the most respectful manner possible, but how much did you try and contact him over the last few years? I've purposefully not contacted him due to the extenuating circumstances but I'm afraid I'll be forgotten if I let it go too much longer without attempting contact.

So I won this Adventurebilt off Ebay the other day but have not received it yet. It states that it is a brand new Adventurebilt, size 22 and styled Last Crusade with a 5 inch crown. Is this an Adventurebilt Last Crusade? Looks more Raiders to me but I can't really tell. It doesn't really matter to me if it is or not just curious as to what bash i should try and give it when it comes

These are the photos from the auction.

I think it is a 'Crusade.' Much shallower indent in bash and the pinch is about right for 'LC.' Nice looking hat, regardless of which film. W>

Ok fair enough. I just thought that with the sides measuring 2.6 inches it might be a raiders. Thanks :TOH:

I don't understand how people are still getting hats from Steve? I ordered and prepaid for a hat from him back in March 2008 and he's still yet to make it or even contact me about it. Or even refund my money. It's been over 5 years now. How are people getting responses and hats from him?

There's a lot of information available on this site about this, but it's a touchy subject.

Suffice it to say Steve has had several setbacks health wise, but he is continuing to work through them and dig out from adversity. Not too long ago I receive a hat from around your timeframe, so he's still working on them. He does not respond to every e-mail, but sending one every few months may get a response - or it may not.

That's about all anyone can say.

The front view from above in photo 6 looks very Raiders to me.

The front pinch is Raiders, and the brim and ribbon placement definitely look turned.

Looks like a LC but the someone tighten up the front pinch. Steve makes all his bows to look like from Raiders so you can't go by that.

I'm new on this board but I just received my tracking number from Mr. Delk. Should arrive on Monday! I've read lots of the member stories on the long waits and no responses to emails, but in my case, Steves timeline was just a month longer than quoted and comms were responded promptly. Just wanted to share my experience and cannot wait to receive my AB!
