Any affordable STEEL-TOED 'close-enough' Indy boots?

Greetings, gang -

I'm due for some new work boots, which need to be steel-toed (and steel shank, preferably). I thought I might be able to get double-duty out of them if I can also get some semi-accurate Indy wear from them as well.

I need to keep the price under $200 (work is contributing less than half of that).

I've done some Google searches but I thought you educated folks here might already know the answer, or know how to point me in a pretty specific direction.

How 'bout these? Ford was SUPPOSED to be wearing Redwings in the first place before he substituted his own personal Alden 405's, so you'd actually be 'gear correct'.

This is the closet I can find, but not sure on price. They are Red Wing 4439 work boots.

Wow, those are looking pretty good! I'm not sure how I missed those, as I went over the Red Wing pages pretty thoroughly. (Maybe I was zoning out from all the looking...)

If you can find any Carolina Huskers on Ebay...- American made steel toe and around 50 bucks if I recall; but they were discontinued years ago.

Several members used them for close-enoughs, including me.

Ended up purchasing some Coyle's from the Cairo Bazaar at an excellent price that are perfect for me, and just bought some non-Indy steel toed boots with my work allowance for this year.

I posted something recently about close-enoughs that are comfortable to wear. Timberland Earthkeepers were mentioned consistently. Im assuming steel-toed work boots, of any brand, arent going to be the most comfortable things out there? Nor should they be, but Im just wondering. I like the looks of these red wings.

As I mentioned in the first post, I was looking for new work boots, and they had to be steel-toed.

There are many pairs or comfortable steel-toed boots out there. From what I just checked on the Timberland websote, none of the Earthkeepers are steel-toed.

I was looking for steel-toed boots that could do double-duty as Indy boots so I could kill two birds with one stone, since my employer contributes $80 per year to provide the required safety gear.

I ended up going a different route when I found very affordable and accurate used Indy boot replicas.
