Hey. I have a federation deluxe and I remember talking to you about shaping the brim the exact way as Harrison Ford's, and I hear that you have the proper tools to force the hat brim into that shape even with a persons round oval head, and I was wondering if you reshape hats or hat brims even if they are not from your company? And if you do..... How much do you do it for?

Not to answer for John, as I know he can handle his own business. That being said, a lot of that hat's brim character comes from putting the turn in the hat, it creates the "swoop" in the brim that we're all accustomed to. The Fed already has a dimensional brim, though if memory serves it's not entirely the same as that of the raiders hat but it's workable.

John is pretty responsive.
If you e-mail him at info@penmanhats.com or call him at 971-246-1832 he can probably answer you right away.
I do know, however, that he's so busy he has generally stopped reblocking hats other than his own - but you never know. He's a great guy and he might make an exception.

I think what the gentleman is speaking of is he is a round oval head and most hats like the fed. Akubra are regular oval. It's very simple to make a small adjustment with the right tool. Yes I do have that tool of course.
Because of the round oval trying to fit into the regular oval hat even with creases the hat off center the brim doesn't warp the same way.
