Red Wing "Close-Enoughs" on sale!

Post by Adventure Dog »

And by "close enoughs" I mean, the Red Wing version of Aldens.
TheClymb.com has Red Wing boots on sale! Like.... $120 off kind of sale. If you're interested, check out it out here.
http://www.theclymb.com/brand-event/484 ... g-heritage" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
There are some nice Indy boots in common sizes, plus a variety of other excellent looking dress apparel! If you decide to get anything, you'll need a membership (which is free). Go ahead and sign up via here (https://www.theclymb.com/invite-from/draykose" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;) to net me some store credit. If not, it's cool. Have to at least try, right? :)

Happy Hunting!

EDIT: As of 10:20 Pacific Coast Time, the shoes will only be available for 9 more hours!

They do, however, have the Men's Heritage 9012 Beckman Boot in almost all sizes. The current color isn't SA, but a great boot nonetheless.

I got some 9030's from Shoebacca last year at a steal, and returned them. Also the black 9029's. I regret returning them, and they no longer have them. Best 'close enough' Red Wing makes, IMO.

This may be a dumb question, but which model is the one that is accepted as "close enough?"

I'd say the 213 boot or the 9012 boot would be great close enoughs (due to the Mock-Toe design).

The idea of "close enoughs" is this wonderfully vague category of gear that either resembles, in some way, shape, color, fashion, or design, to the Screen Accurate gear. For some, "Close Enough" might mean "brown shoes". To others, it means "just shoes". So, no. It wasn't a dumb question. The question you should ask yourself is "which ones do I like the most?". or "which ones look, to me, like what Indy wears".

What is it with merchant sites that force you to register just to look at their content.

NOOOOOOO thanks!

I agree with you Zuiun. I've been burned by a couple different websites that only offer viewing after a membership. I do enjoy TheClymb though. I've purchased a number of things from them, and have yet to regret being a member. If you have a direct link to a particular sale, I think you can see what's there, but from the front page, you can't without logging in.

Soon, this thread will die, and then be shuffled off into the archive, only to be deleted by the robots rampaging through the network, determined to find free space somewhere....
