Looking for advice on indy shirt

Post by strikeomen »

So I own one of Todd's 2nd generation shirts but was looking for something a little better in colour so I thought of getting a WPG sirt but their sizes start at a 42inch chest and I am around the 38-40 mark. I was just wondering what the fit of the shirt would look like or if it was possible to srink it slightly to make it look better. I could also possibly get a noel howard large shirt but unsure if that would fit me either.

Any ideas?

I have WPG medium and I'm a 38-40 chest and it is snug around the chest not tight just snug, granted it has been through many washes.

Todd's shirt get a bit roughed about over the colors, but he's got a new, darker color out that (with the right pants and jacket) should be great. The Todds shirts I own are closer to the Noel Howard color than any other shirt I own.

That said, I second the Magnoli suggestion. His shirts are fantastic. I wish I could afford a closetful of his stuff. Plus, you have a good choice of colors and get custom measurements.

The newest WPG shirt is the closest you will find in color IMHO - and I've had them all.

I have the newest Todds, sold a Magnoli, had the earlier Todds, and the original tent-like WPG.

The newer, slimmer WPG shirts are my favorite, hands down.

A local tailor can tailor it to fit you exactly for $20-30.

My only complaint is the bottom hem and the length of the tails.

Regards,
Sean

Decided to order a medium WGP shirt especially seeing the photos from the new comparison thread. Magnoli's looks good but WPG is cheaper and it still a good shirt. My only hope is that the medium fits me well enough so that I don't have to send it back for a different size.

I ordered my WPG shirt last week. Arrived in 5 days from the UAE! Ordered a size Large. For reference I am 5'10" and 210, 44 chest. The shirt fits perfect. I washed it on cold and dried it and did not notice much, if any shrinkage. The neck is a little snug but not bad, not that i will be buttoning the top button any time soon.
Very pleased with the WPG experience.

I am 5'10" and 190 with a 42 chest. What size for the WPG shirt would fit me best, a med or a large?

Well I am about 6ft and 182 with a 38-40 inch chest. I think a large would fit you better. Will try and post some pictures later today!

I have no idea? It was the bag strap that came with the bag from WPG

Not different at all - I just noticed the unfinished back and thought it was a Lost Ark strap.
