I couldnt find a spot for an intro thread, so here it is with a whip question.
My name is Steve and I have been a fan since the first movie (sawit about 7 times when it first came out). I also float around on other prop forums under the same screen name.
Now the question. I saw that Western props has a budget whip for around $100. Does anyone know for that price if its worth it? I did a quick search on this site and didnt find new information about them. Also I do have a nice whip (Northern Western 10' roo hide). I know it would be better to save up, but for now Im after more of a light popper place keeper.

Re: Westernprops Whip
Welcome aboard!
For that price I'd think it's a costume piece and not durable enough to handle a lot of cracking. The occassion pop would be OK, but not regular use.

That was my guess. I was curious of the core, if it was rope, cable, etc. How it compared to Todds and Magnoli.
