If you look closely there are a 'few' and I do mean -- 'few' -- men without hats! Now, it would be interesting to take a similar picture today and compare the difference ! Then again , perhaps not . W>
Glad to see other Cubs fans! In reading a lot about the history of baseball, yes, the men would be dressed up to attend a game which was a special deal and back then and before, it was a men only affair. Eventually they began women's days, etc...

Cool pic to remind us of what used to be!
I've spotted at least 3 women in the crowd - sorta like playing Where's Waldo.
isn't it just hard to believe that in the day, men would go to baseball games wearing suits and ties and real hats? it always strikes me how anti-suit people have become. My brother in law gave me a boatload of s&%t 'cause I showed up at his daughter's graduation wearing a suit. He said, "It's not a funeral." to which I replied, "We're here to honor your daughter's accomplishment, and I think getting presentable is part of that celebration." Sheesh!

or to interviews!
Whenever I conduct interviews the first thing I notice is dress and if they shake my hand.
I don't expect kids, etc to be wearing full on suits, even jeans aren't too bad. But when they don't tuck in their shirt or wear a baseball cap it's an automatic no hire in my head.
Lately, I've been wearing more and more ties, etc to work and have gotten many compliments....sadly it's getting warm again here in Texas so I'm gonna try and source some good linen...
