My WWI British Military S&W .45 Hand Ejector

Post by micsteam »

These are just a few pics of my WWI British S&W .45 Hand Ejector with a Canadian servie flap holster (I got it because it looked exactly like the Raiders holster only longer for my uncut barrel).

I did the research and chased down the name inscribed on the side plate and I found out this piece was actually at the Western Front in WWI. This was an original issue .45 not a .455 Eley like most British issue S&Ws of the time. The cylinder has been cut for use with .45 ACP with half moon clips.

Thank you very much !! I also can't beleive the condition it's in for it's age. Action is tight and the rifling is excellent, I fire it all the time. Now I'm looking for a Remington 1875 (like Blanca's), a Broomhandle Mauser C96 (in it's original 7.63), and a WWI or prior Navy (Kreigsmarine) Luger.
