This is from an older video from Brandon at the Prop Store. It also showcased Indy's glasses and the Grail Diary. Pretty sure the whip was also used in the opening temple scene.

It didn't look like a Morgan to me but with the cable set up it was certainly intended for some type of stunt.
Also I have yet to see a clear picture of the "Drag Whip" actually used behind the truck so this could very well be it. Maybe

The plaiting, especially as it goes down the thing, just looks too smooth to be a Morgan, even around that time ( it seems to me that the Morgan whips back then were a little smoother than they are now ).

That would be cool if we could somehow confirm it as that whip! I've wondered about it on occasion.

Unless I am mistaken, David Morgan didn't actually SUPPLY any whips for the PRODUCTION of the film. I think they were Glenn Randall's that David made for HIM that were used in Raiders. The first whips David made specifically for the franchise were for Temple, and I the first "Stunt Whip" he'd done with a cable, (or paracord. I've heard different things,) for stunt swinging/dragging/etc. was for Mask of Zorro.

The swinging/dragging whips with the stunt cable in the core, (paracord or steel,) were most likely produced by the prop department.

So, while looking at that prop, I would at first be inclined to call BS on it's authenticity, but could easily be wrong.

Anyone else have any info?

I don't know about calling BS on the authenticity. I think it was, indeed the whip for the drag scene. However, I think they messed up in the description and got their facts wrong... Especially about it being "skilfully made from 12 plait natural tan kangaroo hide."

If this whip is 12 plait and made out of NATURAL TAN hide, then I was one of the German soldiers in the truck. The whip definitely appears to be 16 plait and burgundy (though you can see undertones of tan, maybe they just did a quick dye job.)

OBVIOUSLY whip leather darkens with time, but look at the screen caps. It was extremely dark to begin with! A whip takes years to be significantly darkened. And being dragged in THAT dirt would have only LIGHTENED an already dark whip.
