For anyone who has bought an Azuma shirt before... How much can I expect this thing to shrink? I have rather long arms, and I want to know whether I should buy the medium (and hope for the best in terms of length and shrinkage) or buy a large (which is too big in the neck) and get it tailored (can I tailor a neck size)? I typically wear a 15 neck and a 34/35 sleeve. Should I just work out more and build more strong muscles?

Not much at all... I have 2 of Azuma's TODs and 2 LCs and they are still roughly the same size as when I bought them. That's even after they've been through the wash, not dry cleaning. I think at most they might have shrunk a quarter of an inch, but that's a big MIGHT.

This is the last update I had from Azuma on 8/8/2012:

"Dear Indy Fans,

Sorry for keeping you wait. I hope you haven't given up on me yet... Regarding the fabric, I haven’t found the ideal fabric for Raiders shirts, however, my wife’s college friend is in fashion business, and he will also help me to source the fabric overseas through his supplier.

Asides from the update on the fabric, we do have some progress on the shirt. I have decided to abandon the Raiders 81 project, and doing a very small run of the Raiders shirts first. I will use the fabric I mentioned last time. It’s a decent and nice fabric, but unfortunately, the supplier dose not have more than 40 yards in stock, so with the fabric they have left, we can only do 22 to 25 shirts. The production will start late August, and we shall have them ready for shipping in September. Due to limited fabric available, we will only make the shirts in the following sizes: 15.5, 16, 16.5, and 17. A few sample shirts will also be available for sell when the small run is ready.

I will continue looking for the fabric and making the Raiders shirts to fulfill the sizes and orders, so if you didn’t get a shirt from this small run, no worry, we will make more as soon as we have find suitable fabric for this project. Thank you again for your patience. I will keep this project moving.

Cheers,
Azuma"

Just another congrats to Azuma. I haven't worn my Azuma LC in awhile, mostly because a button popped off and I hadn't gotten around to fixing it. SO for the Indy Imax, I fixed it and wore it. Since then I've been wearing it regularly.

Everytime I wear it, I get compliments. Even my girl says something everytime I wear it.

So, Thanks Azuma. And I can't wait for the Raiders!!

I thought I read that there might be a second run of the Raider shirts, but when the servers had to be reset to an older date Im not sure if I was just imagining it. So does anyone know for sure if there might be a second run of the shirts?

No your not imagining things that you thought you might have read. :-k
Azuma has plans on a second run, just not sure when, if I recall it's due to finding the fabric and the right fabric supplier. One or the other is the issue. He had enough material to do a small run so he did, just to wet our appites.

So paitance GlobeTrekker, in the end you'll be rewarded. Just keep an eye on this thread. :TOH:

Croft

PS if your a size S check out the bazzar, he has one or two prototypes for sale.

Previous run already has the epaulettes extending over the pleats (indydude18, you do have one of the shirt from previous run, right?). However, we will make the epaulettes longer this time.

Azuma,

Yes, I have one from the 1st run and it rocks. Only wish the epaulettes were a tad bit longer.

In the picture above I'm wearing my Azuma Raiders shirt, and Wested pants

In this photo, I'm wearing a WPG shirt with my Todd's pants. :)

Obviously, I'm wearing a different hat and belt too, and the photos were taken a day apart, though I took the photos right around the same time of day, in the morning.

Hi Adrian,

No news so far...

We have got a fabric supplier who can supply us poplins in wide range of colors in Khaki, and the pattern is revised for the shirt, but the studio do not have time on our project so far... Same problem as before... They will eventrually made the shirt for us.
