Hi, guys!
Well, the last 6 months or more I've really been trying to devote more of my whip practice to two-handed, more rhythmic stuff, ala Adam Winrich, and all the great Aussie-style stuff he does. I picked up a lot from him and friends such as Dan Borton, Paul Nolan and Lauren Wickline, Todd Rex, et al. I hope you guys can see some improvements, as well as new moves (from me, not new to the scene! --I doubt I'm bringing anything new to the table here, but hey, one has to start somewhere!)
Anyway, looking for feedback and encouragement. If you have any tips or suggestions, let me know!
Thanks for watching my video!

I saw this on Facebook. Some really nice cracking, I can definitely see improvement from the last time I saw your two handed stuff. Nice video!

Thanks, Jeremy! I appreciate that! You're quite a skilled whipcracker yourself! You have a very smooth and relaxed style.riku1914 wrote:I saw this on Facebook. Some really nice cracking, I can definitely see improvement from the last time I saw your two handed stuff. Nice video!
But yeah, I'm trying to improve a few specific moves, so I'm glad you recognize my development. I have a long way to go before I get where I want to be, which is specifically to be able to connect all of these moves without awkward breaks, and build to an actual routine. Right now it's just "I can do this move pretty well-check; I can that move pretty well-check;" But flowing from one to the next without screwing up or becoming too quickly winded is the hard part. Basically, I need to polish the moves I do have, work on my stamina, and work on the transitions. Then I can work on more interesting cracks and patterns. As I said, I know I have a long way to go, but I wanted to be able to say, for the time being, even if only to myself, "This is the progress I've made so far . . . "

That's exactly wha I'm working on with two handed crackin right now! I can do a few tricks but the transitions are often rough. I've also been working on my endurance by doing double volleys and Queensland crossovers as long as I can until my arms are almost locked up and ready to fall off. They go longer every day!
I'm sure ill get some better work done when I make myself some leather stockwhips. The nylon ones I made are ok but the weighting and action of them just can't compare to leather.
