Wow, that's really impressive. That he does the design on his computer and prints-out out a template like a needlepoint pattern is something I've never heard of before.

Tomek, thanks for sharing the article with us. Chris never ceases to amaze me and leave me breathless with his dedication and quality!

Didn't those stockwhips with the 3D-pattern appear in the previous issue of the APWA journal (a package with the latest issue arrived to my house just, yesterday... )?

Good G-d. I am now relieved to see that even Chris's plaiting looks awful before rolling! I can always rest calmly after looking how much rolling improves a round braid.

This is the phrase from the article I liked the most: "A whip has to function before everything else; it can look as pretty as you like, but if it doesn't work then it's just something to hang on the wall," Chris said.

Yet, his work is so appealing aesthetically!
