I like the way you showed them off. Not only a close up view but to see them in action was really great. Thanks for sharing that fine collection with us all.

Thanks, John, I'm glad you liked the video.BendingOak wrote:I like the way you showed them off. Not only a close up view but to see them in action was really great. Thanks for sharing that fine collection with us all.

As for the hat . . . ummm, yeah, I mean, I guess it's okay . . . .
Seriously, though, I think it's funny that my hat's flipped up at one point in the video, like how it looks when Indy shoots the swordsman, or when Henry says, "Those men are trying to kill us!" "I know, dad!" "This is a new experience for me . . ." "Happens to me all the time!"

Awesome presentation! Two handed routines cracked using stockwhips are a lot easier, aren't they ? One advice - get more stockwhips
I liked 9' Del Carpio the best, both for action and look.

Yeah, well, as you can see, this is strictly an INDY whip collection video.
And yes, two-handed stuff is a bit easier with stockwhips, but I'm still working on that . . .
But, I plan to make another whip collection video of NON-Indy whips in the future, which will include Aussie style whips, stockwhips, and a few other whips I own (or will own soon . . . )
And I'm glad you liked the 9' Del Carpio, it's probably my favorite and most used of all my Indy whips. There's something VERY right about the 9' length, and Bernardo really knows his stuff when it comes to recreating DM's early work. He is a fine craftsman.
Thanks for checking out the video!

Re: My Indiana Jones Bullwhip Collection Video
I know, I've seen your stockwhip video too. For multiple two handed cracks, stocks will always win over bullwhips, at least for me. They are lighter, faster and the handles are longer, which gives great leverage. I'm planning to make a pair of stocks with full plaited handles soon, unless I have an order.
I've had 9 footer and it was perfect length. Fine for cracking and still great for wraps. Now I have 10 footer and the difference, small however, it's perceptible.
Good luck with other whips video !

That's a lot of whips! Very impressive!
So, how many whips have you brought in the past to the QM Summit?
Best wishes,
Nebraska S.

Re: My Indiana Jones Bullwhip Collection Video
Well, I haven't typically brought them all, but most of them. And, as I stated at the end of the video, I have other whips besides the Indy whips, so I have typically brought a mixture of Indys and other things, you know, whatever I felt like sharing that year. Maybe close to a dozen. Right now I own about 17 or 18 whips (I just sold one!).NES wrote:That's a lot of whips! Very impressive!
