Good $ brown web belts available
This might be yesterday's news, but I found these belts on a li'l Southern website:
A brown web belt with brass buckle. $2.39 sounds fair to me...
Was I happy when I first spotted these? Yes. Did I use very bad and unsuitable language when I read "Sorry, no International SALEs or Shipping"? Indeed I did.
Anyhoo, thought someone out there might be interested...

Mange tak for de venlige ord, Jan.
However, these babies aren't available for us Old World dwellers... unless some friendly soul here on the board could do us the great favor of purchasing a bunch and shipping them to us... (they charge 3.99 for shipping values $.01-$9.99)
If we could gather a bunch of Euro-gearheads interested in these belts, we might have ourselves a li'l project here...

I can help you guys, if I can. You guys first decide who all wants one. I;m gathering up an order right now on a whipmakers list who all want a tool from Australia. I'm ordering a quantity and having them dropshipped to them.
What I'd suggest is first get a count of how many of the Euros wants one. Hopefully you have PayPal, and we can arrange the transaction. I've sent bullwhips to England, Austria, Germany, France and Denmark, so I am a bit familiar with shipping there. I have to fill out a customs form and would send it by the US Post Office.

SJ,
I just wanted to tell you that when I saw your post about these belts, I ordered a couple. I received them today. It was an excellent deal and thanks for finding it and letting us know.
I also wanted to add that Georgia-Outfitters.com was a very good vendor to deal with. I sent my order and received an e-mail confirmation. They accept pay-pal or money orders. I sent a money order and they sent me an e-mail stating that they had received it and notified me that they were shipping my order that same day and gave an estimated date that I would receive it. They even threw in a freebie with my order that totaled less than $10.
I was curious if you gearheads across the pond had worked out your arrangements for ordering some?
Oh, and the belts are excellent, by the way.

Sounds like they must have used brass plated. It would look silver as the brass plating wears off. A solid brass buckle will always look like brass. It would tarnish once the clear laquer wears off, but a little brass cleaner and it would be shiny brass once again.Swindiana wrote:I'm not sure what was used but this is from IndianaJones.com:
Belt
Standard U.S. Army-style webbing belt with brass buckle (that looks more silver with wear),
What are the NH ones?

Swindy
