How're the sleeves supposed to fit with this jacket? They can be cuffed or uncuffed, right? So should the sleeve measurement be as if you were going uncuffed and to mid-hand?
Well, the answer that works for ME is that I ordered a half inch longer than I normally would with an Indy jacket. (26" is perfect so I ordered 26.5" )
My thought process was this...if i wear it unbuttoned, which so far I have the most, it would dangle sort of low ala Willis's surrogates jacket. If buttoned it would bunch slightly and not allow rideup. Worked like a charm for me. Your milage may vary...
One note though; this cowhide does not wrinkle heavily, so you wont lose a lot of sleeve in this jacket as you will with some over time.

Thanks for the reply! If it's not too much trouble, how long is the cuff exactly? It looks about 2 inches maybe?
Fit? Back when they were made men wore them so that the cuff coudl be done up and the jacket would end just after the wrist without bunching. It's a modern thing to wear sleeves so long they almost cover one's palm. And yeah, Willis wore a vintage Californian jacket a size big in the movie and from what I can see, with extra long sleeves. Not my choice of look, but a great jacket.
I got the Aero Half Belt and I ordered the sleeves long...For a while I wore the cuffs (snaps) open, but found they kept getting caught on things...There was also the issue of not being able to put the jacket on whilst the cuffs were closed, but that seems to have gone away now due to the leather softening up......I much prefer them closed now..
Man, I really want this jacket. The halfbelt was at the top of my list, I just didn't like the price that other companies were charging. I'm also on a budget, like a lot of other people. By the way, I like the Indiana Jones style half belt that Magnoli makes. That thing looks so cool. I like his other half belt, too. I think it's called the Open Road Jacket. Not sure. I was thinking about getting one of those. They have that awesome 30's look. I think this filmjackets.com half belt has more of a forties or fifties look to it, but, then again, that's not exactly right because I've also seen the same exact jacket in older movies. For example, there's a guy wearing pretty much the same jacket in "It's a Wonderful Life", during the scene where Martini and his family are moving out of their shack and heading out to their new house they got with the aid of the old Baily Building and Loan. I don't think the yoke is scalloped on his, either. Then there's the friend from the movie "Cinderella Man." I don't think the yoke on his is scalloped, either. I like the scalloped yoke, though. I also like the buckles and straps that are on the cuff of the Californian Ventura, which, if I am not mistaken, is made by Good Wear. Man, I just wish I would have bought this filmjackets.com halfbet before the price went up. That 45 dollar increase is actually getting me to re-think the whole thing. 299 just sounded so nice. But, people have to make money. The cost of everything is going up. Why can't my paycheck go up? Man.

I'm really liing this jacket, although not seeing it for sale anymore over at filmjackets....
So, for some reason after seeing Raidersin IMAX...I started wondering about what the "real life" Indy would've worn....instead of all the custom jacket, shirts, etc...what if he wore what he seems to emulate. Actual military gear, etc.
So I wonder....what kind of Jacket would he have worn? And this jacket seems like a good runner up....
The half-belt is great but for my money a real Indy would have worn the classic A1 in cape skin. Very much what real life adventurers were wearing in the 20's and30's.
