I looked at a Stetson while visiting Seattle late last year with my girlfriend. I nearly bought it, but in the end I'm glad I didn't. My two cents is, while, it is inexpensive, you can buy a more SA and custom-made fedora from vendors on COW. I'll plug David Garrison because I own one and am very happy with its quality and look. It cost only a little more to boot.
Here are a couple pictures of the Stetson:

And the Garrison:

Again, only my two cents. Hope it helps.

Quick fix? Akubra Federation. Shipped to your door within a week (usually).
Well worth the monies, and tough as nails.

From what I have read on The Fedora Lounge, it seems as it Stetson has pulled back on the powder dye a bit over the past two or three years.
It's fine as a dress hat, but as an "SA" Indy hat, you are better served elsewhere.

Just kidding! I don't think he does, but it doesn't hurt to ask. I don't care for the ToD bash - it isn't messy enough!
To each his/her own!

Not at all! I am a huge fan of the ToD hat; it may in fact be my favorite.Aragorn658 wrote:haha no body!? Man I think I'm the only temple bash fan lol j/k
I owned a few Stetson Temples, and the quality varied from passable to terrible. I wouldn't pass one up if I found one on an auction site, but for the money there are many other, much better options. You said you wanted a quick fix, so as Michaelson said, the Federation is a great option. It costs less, better quailty and comes open crown, so you can style it anyway you want.

I'm also a fan of the Temple bash. Actually, LC has always been my favorite, but the bash is similar. There's just more curl to the brim on a LC and the ToD has more taper.Aragorn658 wrote:haha no body!? Man I think I'm the only temple bash fan lol j/k
