OT Pegasus Durable Clothing - D-Pocket Lady Model

Post by SpeedRcrX »

I know it's OT but I think this company deserve the shout out.

Pegasus Durable Clothing is a company based in France and run by Kevin (an American, so don't worry about communication) - http://www.pegasusjackets.com/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Kevin made a prototype of his infamous D-Pocket for woman I contacted him immediately. Most of the time I can't buy women jacket off-rack. They don't fit me.

So Kevin agreed to make one for me custom made.

After a discussion about the options, I choose Horsehide for the leather. At first I was hesitant because I didn't want a leather like Aero. Too stiff and too heavy. My back can't take it (a car accident and falling a ladder make my back rather sensitive...). But Kevin reassured me, telling me that his leather was nothing like Aero. And I was right to choose horsehide, the leather is lightweight and supple a real pleasure and broke in easily. I can compare it with my TN Raiders Goat.

I also choose the cotton lining, I live in the south of France and I'm more in need of a jacket for spring/fall season than winter.

The jacket fit me like a glove. The material is top quality and the craftsmanship is excellent, it's at the same level as was Tony Nowak (customers services included).

I love this jacket, that D-Pocket is definitively in the top 3 of my favorite jackets.

Kevin is courteous and professional. A real pleasure to do business with him!!!

Thanks Pegasus for this fantastic jacket and top notch services!!!

Dog GONE he hit that one out of the ballpark! :shock:

Sort of reminds me of the Perfecto-like jacket that TN made for Mutt in CS in styling, so it's 'site' related. :clap:

You wear it well, my friend! :M: :tup:

Interesting that the D pocket is diagonal from mine.

Is that your creation or did you actually find a vintage woman's jacket to base it on ? Either way its pretty interesting. I've never seen the d-pocket in that high position. Even the early Cycle Queens fron the 40's had the zipper pocket in the same position as the men's but just on the other side.

No, it's Kevin's creation. He based his model on different jackets from that era to create his D-Pocket S for men. The back, for example is inspired by a German jacket.

And then he adapted his model for women.

All is explained on his website.
