In 2000 my parents bought me a leather jacket while we were on vacation. I, uneducated as I was at the time, thought it looked a lot like the Indy jacket. Fortunately I know better now. I'll wear this jacket untill it falls apart and then I'll get myself a Wested. I've had this jacket for about three and a half years now, but never knew what kind of leather it is. I don't even know what brand it is, the only clue I've got is the made in Pakistan label inside (That might explain why it can handle anything I put it through). I assume it's cowhide, but I'd like anyone who thinks otherwise to say so.
This is my jacket:

Can someone tell me what kind of leather my jacket is?

I really don't know if it's heavy or light . I don't have any jackets to compare it to. It's the only jacket I wear, so I'm totally used to it, another jacket just doesn't feel right.
So the opinions here are...
Cow,
Steer,
Horse,
Goat, and
Lamb.
That's about everything except kangaroo, isn't it?
Just shows how a good three years of distressing (all natural of course) can hide even what kind of leather it. At least in pictures, I'm confident most of you (being more educated about leather jackets than me) would be able to tell just what it is in a moment if you would see it in reality.
