My nearly 4 year old 405s were looking like they were made out of undyed Chromexecel. I had a thing of brown Kiwi quick shine polish so I applied it to them. I have been wanting to do this for a while but I was unsure how to do this & keep the toe stitching white. I think I have aclompished this & the toe stitching is still for the most part white. I'll post pics soon.
Thanx!!!
Charlie

On a weekly basis how often do you wear them? They look amazing to me!

There was a point where I was wearing them 4 to 5 times a week for a while.Indyzane wrote:On a weekly basis how often do you wear them? They look amazing to me!

Had my Aldens for almost four years now. I had them dyed about a year ago. I just cleaned and polished them up the other night. They were originally the standard "pumpkin" color when I got them new from the Alden SF shop, but now they are kind of a dark brown. I'm pretty pleased with them.

I decieded that I didn't like the look of them. After drying it was too splotchy. I masked off the white toe stitching & spray dyed the a medium brown. They look much better. I need the pick up some small brushes & paint the dye onto the leather between the stitches. Pics to follow.
