Finally....succeeded in my quest for a pair of Aldens

Post by wilbyc82 »

Hi Guys

It has taken me best part of 2 years to try and justify a pair of these amazing boots. Todd's Indy boots have served me well to date, but as I strive for greater accuracy of my gear, the Alden boots were a "MUST". ;)

I managed to strike it lucky on ebay as the alternative would cost me even more when you take into account the customs and postage to the UK.

I couldn't be more happier with these boots. :D They feel soooo comfortable and the quality shines through! \:D/

Just wanted to share my appreciation for these fantastic boots. They will no doubt serve me well!

My next upgrade will be my hat.......just order a Penman Cairo. \:D/

congrats on the boots. i too live in the uk and paid nearlly £90 !! in customs charges to get my aldens in to the country ,plus it was also a gamble that they would fit ok once they arrived.despite the overall price i dont have any regrets they are great boots - pure indy !!

The customs charges are a serious pain in the nether regions. My boots still had little change out of £250......but that seemed like a good deal to me!
Agreed that they are worth every penny!

Compared to the original Todds, the Aldens run a little larger.
