Other than Pecards...

Post by Man In The Hat 27 »

Hey everybody. I was just wondering what a good stateside equivalent of Pecards would be. I just dropped some cash to get my second Wested, and I don't feel like making another overseas purchase for a while. I haven't conditioned my old Wested for over two and a half years. I did have a leather lotion that worked pretty well, but the name escapes me at the moment. I just want to give my new jacket a good working over to loosen up the new leather, and to "preserve and protect". Any suggestions?

Regards, Cowboy Matt

I thought Pecards was the state side option. Peter recommends Letap leather conditioner. Since its pressurized it cant be sent by plane so a movement began in the states spearheaded by that rogue Michaelson in the use of Pecards.

Pecards is sold in the states? Well, I guess I should pay better attention next time. #-o That settles that then. Well, now that I shown off my impressive lack of knowledge, I guess I'm off to get myself some Pecards. Thanks guys.

Thanks for the help everybody. Now that I know it's local, That puts my mind at ease for getting a good leather jell. Still feel rather silly for not knowing that though. I just never really payed attention. I thought that Pecards was the conditoner Peter endorsed, and was made in the UK. Guess you learn somethin' new everyday.

Nothing to worry about! I remember when I first joined the forum sending an email off to the sita admin asking simply "What is the best jacket to order from Wested?". At least your question is sensible! We all have to start somewhere and asking questions and gaining experience is the only real way of learning anything in my opinion (waits for the philosophers to angrily debate issue).

PS - To really confuse you, it might be of itnerest for you to know that Pecards does have a European and UK supplier too now. A truly itnernational product it has become.
