'89 Morgan
Hey folks,
I recently acquired an '89 Morgan in need of some TLC.
It was originally 12 ft but will end up around 9.5 ft after repairs.
Any way I thought I would post a few pictures of it next to one of my Crease-N-Crusader's for a comparison.
Thanks for looking,
-Dusty

That's a true collector's item. I'd contact Morgan's whip shop and see if they can't restore the point of the lash, finish it off with a new fall & cracker, and a good coat of Pecards. Then I'd make a nice display shelf with the whip, a LC movie poster, and your fedora of choice.

Dusty,
That's awesome! Make sure to post some pics when you get it fixed.
And PLEASE, tell me you are going to crack this one!!

On second thought, you don't need that raggedy old thing. Just send it to me and I'll get rid of it for you.

Wow Dusty, congrats on a great find. Yes, we would all love to see before after shots of the repair process. Its a
lso great you have this as a point of reference for customers who could perhaps incorporate elements of this particular whip into an order.
Cheers

It's good to see you've got some lace to work with. I can't see all of it, but it looks like you'll have to enough to get it to about 11
ft. right? That's good because it's still pretty thick where it is right now. Looks around the 9mm area.

Dusty.... What color leather is the cnc in the above pix? Is that your saddle or dark brown? Either way, I love the color!

Yeah, I know that, but the whip above doesn't look as dark as the crusaders on his site. Looks more like saddle to me....

Re: '89 Morgan
The crusader picture on his site was taken outside, this picture was taken under unnatural light. If you see Robby's video, here :coronado3 wrote:riku1914 wrote:His website says that he makes his crusader whips in dark browncoronado3 wrote:Dusty.... What color leather is the cnc in the above pix? you can see he says its made in the dark brown, but in the pictures that are taken inside it appears to be more like the picture
at the top of this thread.

Thanks for all the replies
To answer coronado3 - The Crease-N-Crusader color was originally based on the color of the "Hero Whip" that was auctioned off for around $47,000.00
It is a blend of dark brown and saddle tan.
riku1914 is correct about lighting. It is frustrating tring to capture the true color of a whip on camera. Even the '89 Morgan is darker brown and less red than these pictures make it look.
I will post some pic's of the restored Morgan as soon as I get some slack in my whip orders to repair it.
