colored band on whip handle?

colored band on whip handle?
I have seen some photos and stills of this. am I seeing things or is there a darker colored band there?

If you're talking about the ring knot on the raiders whip, then yes, it is darker.

It's also darker on the CS whip.

Not naturally it's not. They whip on the CS whip if anything is originally darker. They made it darker intentionally.knibs7 wrote:It's also darker on the CS whip.

On the raiders whip, the transition knot, also known as the ring knot, is often sun darkened. I have also used saddle tan roo hide
for this purpose, which is a color that looks like sun darkened natural tan hide. Here's a picture of a sun darkened ring knot,

It a screen accuracy thing, not needed in any way shape or form, and is completely controllable.
