Just wanted to post a few photos of this as it arrived today. It is a beauty and has a monstrous crack. More of a review coming soon!

Now that's a pretty whip! I'm really diggin' the color on this one. I especially like the two-tone look on the handle. Congrats!

Reasoning for this is because plaiting soap is not used on the knots. The strands from the overlay and the knots are cut from theauntsugar wrote:Now that's a pretty whip! I'm really diggin' the color on this one. I especially like the two-tone look on the handle. Congrats!
same hides, just the plaiting soap darkens the leather. The ring knot is a little darker from being in contact with the greased
leather, but the heel knot not so much. The heel knot will even out with color if you hold it in your palm when used like is supposed
to.
I had a great time making this whip and it turned out very well, with, like bogie mentioned, a monster crack to it.
Thanks for everybody's compliments on the whip, I really appreciate them!

It's a very nice looking whip, Bogie and Riku--I particularly like the color.

I am extremely glad I went with saddle tan and it was a sort of last minute decision let me tell you. This roo hide has a richness too it that is very eye catching. Due to the holidays and weather I haven't had many opportunities to crack this whip. However, I hope this weekend is nice and sunny so I might have a chance to practice with it.

The roo did darken more than I expected it to would, but I too agree it turned out really nice, it caught the TLC color nicely in my
opinion. I'm glad you like it!

Right, saddle tan is a really nice color. I like it for Western gear and the like. It resembles latigo in some way...
Jeremy! I didn't compliment you on the whip. It looks great! Congratulations to you both.
