Wested Jacket Size Question

Post by Ikovalchuk17 »

I've been through all the old posts and found a ton of useful info, but thought I would ask before I order, because I would hate to get one that would not fit....

I'm 6'1", tall and skinny. On a normal jacket, I would be 22" on front from 1 arm pit to the other, 26" in the back, and 26" on sleeves. I want to order a Wested Hero Indy jacket. What size should I get? One reason I'm asking is I understand the sleeve start lower than on a normal jacket. Should I reduce my sleeve length? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance

How many inches does your chest measure? Hero jacket is slim fit, it has 2 inches of room in chest. I wouldn't reduce the sleeve lenght, because they ride up with wear.

Then order 42 size with 26 or 26.5" sleeves (better too long than too short) and 26 back. It should fit well ;)

I agree with tomek except it probably has more like 3-3 1/2 inches of room. Ordered my normal sleeve length and it came out perfect, right at the thumb knuckle. My chest is 45 1/2''. I ordered the 46 and again, a great fit, not too snug, not too loose.

I was the same as Jlhampton...Ordered my usual size 46 with the sleeves at the length I usually order for and the jacket fits perfectly...If you've ordered from Wested before, and liked the size, stick with it.

I went ahead and ordered the jacket based on all the recommendations. Thanks for the help.

Any idea how long it takes to get a Wested hero jacket (from order to delivery in the U.S.)? I asked them twice but never got an answer. Glad the forum is here to help.

Once it was made and shipped it took 3 days to arrive at my house in Tokyo, Japan...So I'd assume 2 days shipping more or less, depending on your location and the parcel team there? A week at the very outside...

Since it's close to Christmas, they'll probably be rather heavy with work though, so perhaps a week or so to make it in line with all their other orders...Since these are custom they take a little more time to work up...

Aim for about 2 weeks from order time and you'll be a week or so close..

Well, back in 2002 when I got my first Wested--it took about a week.
