Ever since I got into whip making I wanted a pair of performance hybrid whips. I've never had enough spare money, that wasn't
already going into leather, to get any though.
My first "whip" was made out of black nylon paracord, and turned out terrible. Well, I recycled it. First, I made a "stockwhip" thong
out of it, then I actually made it into a stockwhip. Now, since the stockwhip got swung on by a certain 7 year old, and the keeper
messed up, I decided to do something else. I had some PVC laying around from having to fix a water heater leek, so...

This whip is modeled somewhat after the whips that Lauren Wickline @ Midwestwhips makes. The handle, however, is modeled
somewhat after the handles that TRex's dad made. I didn't have enough nylon to braid a handle, which is why I decided to do
what I did.
The handle is 21" long, and the thong is 45.5 inches long ( had to retie the fall hitch at once point ).
The whip is VERY fast, and cracks well. I replaited the second half of it after it was swung on to fix the separating strands.
It's good, but at some point I plan to make myself a fullsized pair of "performance hybrid" whips. It really is an amazing design
Lauren made for these things, I really do like it.

Very nice! I like the idea of the PVC, light but very durable.

It worked well, this whip is a little handle heavy, but if I had used the full length that Lauren uses I think it'd be perfectly balanceddrewtheman wrote:Very nice! I like the idea of the PVC, light but very durable.
