Use some of that brown Pecards on 'em, _. It will tone that white thread right down. Congrat's on the new shoes, by the way. You were due a pair. Regards. Michaelson

Did you also notice the newer boots are lighter in weight? Compare them to the imfamous orangy boots. The newer boots are a pound or two lighter!!

_, as I am currently considering buying one of those new Aldens I am looking for pics of them, especially of the color. I am sorta annoyed by JohnDys recent thread in which he argues about the color. It would be great if you could post some pictures, closeups here or send them to me by mail. Comparisons to the older brown pair would be nice too.

Thank you in advance,

Fabian

This is very interesting, I have had my Aldens (Pumpkins) for about, oh 3 yrs now. I am about to have them refurbished as they are in dire need of a face lift. I have been interested in seeing the new hide they are using and of course getting new pair at some point in time. Do you think the new color is step closer to the original or something different?

I heard the Aldens always change a little bit every January. The new hide shall be brown with a little bit red in it.

Just joined COW and purchased some Aldens. The out of the box color is a medium brown, really nice, although not "screen accurate". Used some brown polish on the white stiching. Beautiful and very comfortable. I intend to "age" them the old fashioned way - wear them all the time...

Hit a couple of stores in Manhattan but none had my size so I ordered over the internet. Must say COW is wonderful. Lots of great info. Now it's time to save up for some more gear...

Maybe you could post some pictures of them?

Pics are always appreciated here when speaking of a new purchase.

Thank you very much for the pictures. The brown really seems to be a little bit too light to fit the movie color. But those are some fine shoes. They will become more authentic with wearing. I think now I am fine with purchasing some too.

If you don't mind I repost the pictures here.

Those are really some nicely photographed pictures of your Aldens and the color looks great to me, and should only get better with wear.
